Structural Fabricator

Minimum of 3 years shipyard Journeyperson level experience.Must be able to fabricate components based on NAVSEA drawing requirements with minimum direction given. Must be able to use hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently. Must be able to pass a hands-on welding practical test on SMAW, FCAW and GMAW-P fillet weld by way of a VT NDT Must be able to pass an oxy-fuel torch test consistent of set up, cutting, and beveling. Must be able to understand, read and interpret basic welding symbols based on the requirements of Military Standard 22-D.Have working knowledge of Military Standard 1688 and Military Standard 1689.Ability to interpret and understand NAVSEA drawings/blueprints. Good communication and good interpersonal skills. Must possess basic reading, writing and mathematical skills. Previous experience in use of overhead cranes.Previous experience in shop equipment such as iron worker, break press and plate roller.Must be able to work weekends and a variety of shifts as needed. Pay InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $35048 - $62400Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures.
