Job DescriptionAvante at Ocala, Inc. is seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist Assistant to join our team!

About the Role:

As an Occupational Therapist Assistant, you will work closely with our Occupational Therapist to provide high-quality care to our residents. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting in the assessment, treatment, and program planning for our residents, as well as maintaining accurate documentation and communication with the healthcare team.

Responsibilities:

--- Assist the Occupational Therapist in the evaluation process, including assessing residents' self-care, homemaking, functional mobility, and coordination skills.

--- Conduct individual and group treatment sessions as assigned by the Occupational Therapist, focusing on activities of daily living, functional mobility, range of motion, strength, coordination, and cognitive/perceptual remediation.

--- Select and adapt Occupational Therapy techniques and media as needed, ensuring that treatment plans are tailored to each resident's unique needs and goals.

--- Maintain accurate records and documentation, including treatment plans, progress notes, and resident outcomes.

--- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless care coordination and communication.

Requirements:

--- Associate Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.

--- National Certification for O.T.A. and current state licensure or license eligibility.

--- 0-3 years of long-term care experience.
