This is a critical engineering support role responsible for performing configuration management (CM) functions to ensure product performance, functional, and physical attributes are consistent with requirements, design, and operational information. The primary goal of this role is to maintain the integrity of system documentation, drawings, design artifacts, baselines, records, and associated configuration information using established configuration processes and controls. This role also provides support to various engineering and program management teams as needed. -Essential Functions:

• Implement established configuration management documentation, processes, and principles in an Agile development environment.
• Administer existing configuration management toolsets, including Agile Product Data Management (PDM), Team Center, Rational ClearQuest, Windchill, and/or JIRA.
• Facilitate the Configuration Change Board (CCB) process by analyzing proposed product design changes for accuracy and completeness.
• Organize, review, and authorize the release of drawings and documentation as specified by Program or Engineering Management.
• Provide advice and guidance on configuration management methods, tools, procedures, and requirements to project team members.
• Act as a liaison between management and other functional groups to resolve issues regarding configuration processes and records.
• Support program audits, including functional and physical configuration audits. -Qualifications:
  • Active TS/SCI clearance required.
  • Willingness to work overtime and/or outside of normal business hours as needed to meet critical deadlines and business requirements.
  • Requires practical knowledge of job area. Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree or equivalent with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 6 years of prior related experience. -Preferred Additional Skills:
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio). Specific skills include the ability to create and edit documents, generate and apply templates, generate and apply macros, edit and use styles, apply stamps, and apply other formatting functions within these tools.
    • Knowledge of EIA-649C, MIL-STD-973, and other relevant Configuration Management standards.
    • Relevant Configuration Management certifications such as CMPIC or NDIA.
    • Experience working in a fast-paced continuous change/agile engineering environment.
    • Experience reading and interpreting Statements of Work, Drawings, Schematics, and Parts Lists.
    • Experience in continuous process improvement techniques such as Lean Six Sigma.
    • Technical knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education combined with prior experience in an engineering support role such as configuration manager (CM), quality assurance technician (QA/QE/QC), design drafter, technical writer, program operations analyst, systems support engineer, integration and test engineer, specialty engineer, or similar.
