Job Description:

As a *Medical Assistant*, you will be a part of the Clinical Care Team and engage our patients to develop lifelong well-being and health. The Medical Assistant makes a difference in peoples lives, administers prescribed medical treatment and personal care services to ill, injured, convalescent, and disabled persons under direction of a Physician.*Job Functions ** Perform pre-visit planning based on patient visit type* Manage the providers schedule to ensure efficient workflow* Obtain and record medical history and vital signs* Room patients and assist healthcare providers with medical procedures and treatments* Perform specimen collection and point of care testing* Prepare and administer medications under direction of healthcare providers* Ensure accurate documentation in the electronic health record (EHR) and electronic medical record (EMR) systems, including documentation of HEDIS and Stars quality measures* Maintain established quality control standards*Required Qualifications** Medical Assistant diploma or certificate of completion from a Medical Assisting program* Current CPR certification* 1 or more years of Medical Assistant experience in 'back-office' direct patient care*Preferred Qualifications** Bilingual in English and Spanish proficiency* An active Certified Medical Assistant/CMA or Registered Medical Assistant/RMA certification from one of the following organizations: AAMA, AMT, ARMA, MedCa, NAHP, NAHT, NCCT, NHA or AAH* Experience with HEDIS and ICD/CPT coding* Hands-on professional Phlebotomy experience* Experience with Electronic Medical Records* Experience in a fast paced/high volume environment*Working hours*: Monday to Friday 8AM-5PMJob Type: Full-timeBenefits:* 401(k)* 401(k) matching* Dental insurance* Disability insurance* Employee assistance program* Health insurance* Life insurance* Paid time off* Parental leave* Vision insuranceMedical specialties:* Primary CareSchedule:* Monday to FridayWork setting:* Clinic* In-personExperience:* Medical Assistant: 1 year (Required)* Phlebotomy: 2 years (Required)License/Certification:* Medical Assistant (Required)* CPR Certification (Required)Work Location: In personby Jobble
